Fate Weaver — Solo Oracle

You do not need a rulebook to use this.

Fate Weaver is a solo oracle that answers yes/no questions and keeps the record for you. It does not implement anyone's published system — every table in it is original. So it works with whatever you already play: OSR, PbtA, 5e, freeform, or nothing at all.

What you get

• Ask the Oracle — type a question, choose how likely it is, roll. Yes or No, with Exceptional results on their own band.
• Chaos Factor, 1–9 — the higher it is, the more often the story throws something at you. At 9, about one question in one produces a random event.
• Random events with a focus — an event focus plus an Action + Descriptor pair, specific enough to play from without staring at the screen.
• Scene Check — before each scene, find out whether it goes as expected or gets altered, and what the alteration is.
• Six built-in tables — NPC Trait, Location, Complication, Weather, Loot, Twist.
• Journal — every question, event and table result logged with a timestamp. Delete entries individually.
• Threads and Characters — your open loops and your cast, always in view.
• One-click Markdown export — the whole log, including threads and characters.

How it plays

1. Set Chaos to match the tension. Start at 5.
2. Ask a question. Pick the odds. Roll.
3. If an event fires, narrate from the focus + action + descriptor.
4. Check the scene before you move to the next one.
5. Export when you stop.

What it is not

• Not a rules engine. It will not track HP, rolls, or character sheets.
• Not a virtual tabletop. It is the thing you keep open next to your game.
• Not tied to any publisher. No licensed tables, no required rulebook.

Technical

• One HTML file. Double-click to open. No install, no account, no internet.
• Works in any modern browser on Windows, macOS and Linux.
• Your journal is stored locally in your browser. Nothing leaves your machine.
• Export to Markdown any time. Clearing browser data clears the journal, so export first.

FAQ

Do I need the Mythic book?
No. Fate Weaver is not a Mythic product and does not use Mythic's tables.

Can I use it with Ironsworn?
Yes, as a neutral oracle alongside it. It does not replace Ironsworn's own moves.

Where is my journal saved?
In your browser's local storage. Export to Markdown to keep it somewhere permanent.

Does it work offline?
Yes. It makes no network requests.

Will there be updates?
Yes — buy once, updates are free.
